Testing formats on Yahoo Media Player
Would be great if the Yahoo Media Player could play Real Audio files. Would also be great if it could play Ogg Vorbis files on all machines.
Testing compression formats
Started with a 5 minute MP3 song, at 64kbps, 44.1KHz stereo. Here are the file sizes when transcoded into different formats at the same bitrate and sampling rate.
MP3: 2,834,806 (original) WMA: 2,831,851 AAC: 2,816,051 (using FAAC) AC3: 2,793,638 (using Nero encoder) MP3 VBR: 2,737,345 (using Lame) Vorbis: 2,551,069
